Currently big box retailers are selling ineffective methane detectors. These methane detectors plug into a wall outlet down low (methane is lighter than air and should be installed high) and will detect many other VOC’s like cleaning or hair products.
These over the counter methane detectors give false positives and cannot be trusted. Our methane detector gives no false positives.
